I’m still in Italy for a few more days, but I couldn’t let World Nutella Day go by without joining the celebration! Thanks to the wonders of technology and forward-dating on Blogger, I was able to prepare my contribution before I left the States. Last year I posted a recipe for a pizzelle sandwich with nutella. This post doesn’t include a favorite recipe, but I’m doing something a little different – sharing a plethora of photos to show you how Nutella is loved by people around the world – from schoolchildren to celebrities and even world leaders.Sara, from Ms. Adventures in Italy and Michelle from Bleeding Espresso are hosting the virtual party showcasing Nutella. Nutella is beloved around the world, including Taipei as you can see on this billboard: Just look at this little Asian schoolgirl drawing her favorite treat on a blackboard:Jigsaw puzzle fans go to pieces over Nutella: Clothes designers are “sew” inspired:And artists draw on Nutella for inspiration: It’s even framed on the walls of museums next to traditional classical art: But pop into a modern art gallery and you’ll find Nutella there too:It’s beloved by many celebrities including Victoria Beckham: Paris Hilton also recently showed her affection for the confection: And believe it or not, Vladimir Putin loves it so much, he put a photo of it on display in the Kremlin: This one’s hot off the press: It’s the new symbol on the $100 bill: Well why not? You don’t even have to be human to love Nutella. These felines are mesmerized by it too. Enjoy World Nutella Day. I can’t wait to see what everybody else has cooked up!
